Passwords are handled and stored by Clerk in hashed form; CalcHub never sees or stores your password.
Content You Choose to Save: If you use features like Saved Calculations, Projects, or Favorites, we store the calculator inputs and results you submit so we can show them back to you later. This data is tied to your account and is not shared with other users.
Billing Information: If you subscribe to CalcHub Pro, payment is processed entirely by Stripe, our secure payment processor — we never receive or store your full card number. We store your subscription status, plan tier, billing history, and card brand/last-four digits as provided by Stripe.
AI Assistant: If you use the AI Assistant feature available on select calculators, the calculator inputs and results currently on your screen are processed via Google's Gemini API to generate an analytical summary. We do not store or sell these AI queries.
Usage & Analytics: We track aggregate, non-identifying calculator view counts to power features like "Most Popular Calculators." We may also use privacy-focused analytics tools (such as Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics) to understand aggregate usage patterns and optimize website performance.
Security & Abuse Prevention: We temporarily monitor IP addresses to enforce rate limits on API endpoints (such as AI summary requests) to protect server infrastructure and prevent automated abuse.
We partner with third-party advertising networks, primarily Google AdSense, to serve advertisements on free tiers of our website. Google and its advertising partners use cookies (including the DoubleClick / DART cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to CalcHub and other websites across the Internet.
